The Fields Chapel Tract is situated on County Roads 1231 and 1233 in Eastern Anderson county. This sleepy part of the county offers a great opportunity for a country homestead or a great weekend place located about 2 hours from Dallas, a little over 2 hours to The Woodlands, less than an hour to Tyler and 12.6 miles to downtown Palestine with shopping and numerous other restaurants. This tract boasts over 7,976 feet (1.51 miles) of paved county road frontage giving it ample opportunity for subdivision into smaller tracts. Electricity and telephone are readily available and possible water with Slocum water supply if capacity is available or if not may have to be well water. The tract has some pine plantation of various ages with the remainder in a natural stand of timber. This part of the county offers great recreation and abundant wildlife, especially deer hunting. The historic Texas State Railroad is the northern boundary with the annual Polar Express stopping at the property in the rail turnaround to display Christmas décor. Tract can be subdivided into multiple smaller tracts; price could be subject to change for smaller parcels. Preliminary boundary map can be adjusted to account for more or less acreage, if desired.
